b. in one of the comments that i was a quarter of the way through typing but never posted on one of your pieces, i said that when i look at your pieces, it doesn't look like you've captured the flower. it looks like you've captured the essence and the very soul of it. your flower pieces always have this very soft velvety feel that could give off a very dull effect considering it makes the whole piece and the strong black around the flower come off as very soft, but you've also always managed to bring out very vivid or unusual colour in your flower shots that make them a pleasure to look at. personally, i hate flower shots so much it's not even funny. the occasional one isn't bad, or if you experiment with a lot of colour, it's still good, but a series of flower shots or just more than a couple is very redundant, since you can make a flower come across as so much, but very few people do. but your shots i can put up with, because you have a very unique style of capturing them, and just because you don't emphasize on the very obvious parts of a flower (like the petals, as so many do) but instead use them to surround, center, and bring out something like the stamen(i think that's what it's called) which isn't noticed a great deal.
apart from that though, this shot is another flower masterpiece, bobby. the colour is amazing, and the pale purple really stands out from amongst the red. the detail and clarity of the shot is amazing, and the water droplets look really gorgeous. the mood as someone below mentioned is very romantic, but it is also very secretive, yet seems very revealing just because of that little purple blob (for lack of a better term) in the midst of all that red.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
