Blacksher House by insaneone Blacksher House by insaneone
This is the Blacksher House...the local haunted house. In the 1950's old man Blacksher went crazy and murdered his family then hung hisself off the balcony.Legend says he still occupies the house.People would move in but none would stay to long. The place was beautiful but today it had been vandalised and not a window remains and it has over 40 windows in it.The inside is a total wreck with demonic writtings everywhere.

Shot with a Hoya R72 filter on a Minolta DiMAGE 7 toned in PSP.

Yeah, I went there at night a few years back. Super creepy old house.

A friend and I went by there today. A couple who lived there 8 yrs ago happened to show up. They said they were living there rent free in exchange for keeping the place up. But when the man (Conner) died they were kicked out by family members that showed up one day in "fancy cars and suits." Apparently the girl came down the stairs to this group of people standing in her living room. They said it was their house and they had no right to be living there. But the family never did anything with the house and within a few weeks vandals starting spray painting the place. Btw I saw no demonic writing although the house burnt down back in December so it could have been on the inside. There is VERY graphic sexual words and pictures spray painted on the walls of the apartment/guest house and the barn. I think it's very sad because I would love to bring my children out there but now I can't for this disgusting mess on the walls. I wish the youth of America would see the beauty in these historic places instead of their selfish need to destroy everything. Btw I've read somethings that do not mention any of that actually happening. The house is older then 1950's ...1911 to be exact. [link] Anyways the couple said that they really never saw or heard anything that made them think it was haunted. They said while they were living there "Ms Blackshear/Blacksher" was living in the "apartment" that's to the right of the house in the back. He said when she needed something she would yell for them from the ground and wouldn't step foot in the house. The guy said their friends told them that they saw things but the girl said the friends were always drinking and doing drugs so it was probably just that. The guy said the only time he heard anything weird it was a door that kept slamming. He thought it was his I believe he said brother-n-law. He said that he got up, found his drill and long screws...screwed the door shut...never had a problem again. lol Which after reading a comment below about a sealed door to a room seems like that's the one. :p Anyways thought I'd share.

What a shame that this house burned down recently... It was the ONLY thing interesting in this town.

This house dates before 1950. A plate on the house near the entrance reads a name and a date of 1911. The man killed his family and slaves supposedly before hanging himself. The little boy named buch was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the shed. He also had 2 daughters and a wife.

The house no longer looks like this pic. It is highly vandalized now and alot of the old antiques have been stolen. The basment has flooded out so taht you can get down and look at anythign left in there and the atic is almost impossible to get to anymore.

Also upstairs in the middle of the hall there is a blocked off room. No clue what it is about.

Beautifully creepy. D:
This photo really gives that haunting feeling (it's probably the sepia tone and infrared-ish effect on the trees and plants..), good job. ;D

So where might I find this house?...
xelf Featured By Owner May 19, 2005
I think I've read about the Blackshear house in one of my Southern ghost tales, or mabye 13 Alabama Ghosts (which I read repeatedly in elementary school), but what part of the state is it in?
xelf Featured By Owner May 19, 2005
The light through the trees is ethereal... stunning. I don't think the house would look very haunted without the wispy framing.
RockeRolf Featured By Owner May 19, 2005
I find it a bit annoying that it has a bit angle, but i loved the picture! ;)

You really gave the haunted house justice. The tones especially add to the house's creepiness.

Gosh, I'm a sucker for haunted building pieces.

Sounds like a creepy place! Looks it, too, in that photograph -- its dirtiness contrasts well with the purer white colours of the foliage surrounding it/

Stunning as always bro
I only have one small suggestion... The slight tilt bugs me a little. Maybe it could have been cropped out.
Otherwise VERY nice! Looks like a great photo-location indeed

wonderfully done once again bobby... love the sepia tone and the deep atmosphere created with the story... very spooky and eerie ... just love it ;) perhaps it would be even better not so tilt, but anyway definitively a :+fav:
